LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jessica Simpson has experienced body-shaming remarks before — after all, she has been famous for 25 years—but "it hurts." The 42-year-old entrepreneur discussed the current criticism that she is too thin in an interview with Bustle. The 'I Wanna Love You Forever' singer uploaded a number of photos on Thursday, July 6, for Bustle's July cover that show her in various postures, including staring right at the camera, pouting, and sticking out her tongue.

Soon after, fans called out Simpson for her striking resemblance to beauty guru and controversial YouTuber, Jeffree Star, per Page Six. Several online haters even called her "too skinny" and speculated her taking weight loss pills, Ozempic, for her svelte appearance. However, Simpson denied taking Ozempic while crediting her remarkable weight loss to her "willpower."

'She doesn’t look like Jessica anymore'

A number of Instagram users couldn't help but swarm to the comments section and criticize her pictures, even going so far as to compare her to one of the most controversial beauty bloggers on the planet. One Instagram user asked, "Am i the only one who thought this was @jeffreestar." A second wrote, "Why is she [giving] me Jeffrey [sic] Star vibes? Not good! I know Jess is beautiful but…" A third one snarked and referred Simpson to influencer Tana Mongeau, "Somehow looks Jeffree Star and Tana Mogeau [sic] at the same time." Someone else compared her to Daryl Hannah and wrote, "Totally Daryl Hannah!!! She doesn’t look like Jessica anymore." Another user drew the weight loss pills intake topic and wrote, "What is she on omg she is destroying herself her face doesn't move her eyes are not focused she always seems stoned way to much ozempic."

Social media users even took to Twitter to express their comparison with one write, "Fair… Jess looks like a corpse." A second one exclaimed, "What in the Jeffree Star did Jessica Simpson do to her face???? I see literally no difference here." Another one shared Simpson's Bustle images and wrote, "Jessica Simpson looks like Jeffree Star in this photo..." Someone else quipped, "Looks like if AI combined pictures of Jessica Simpson and jeffree star." One more Twitter user wrote, "I'm impressed, you know who skeletor is. Beautiful in both, what's the problem. Unlike that new Jessica Simpson picture where she looks like Jeffree Star."

'Do people want me to be drinking again?'

After shedding 100 pounds with the birth of her third child, Simpson also took advantage of the Bustle interview to make it clear that she is "not" using the diabetic medication Ozempic, which is now a weight-loss aid. She asked Bustle, "Do people want me to be drinking again? Because that’s when I was heavier. Or they want me to be having another baby? My body can’t do it."

The author of 'Open Book' revealed in September 2022 that she had shed 100 pounds following the birth of her third child, daughter Birdie. With the help of well-known trainer Harley Pasternak, she adhered to a rigorous diet and completed 14,000 steps every day. 'Six months. She declared her weight loss on Instagram, writing, "6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240)".
