LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nicole Kidman paid a heartfelt tribute to the late legendary singer Jimmy Buffett, who died at the age of 76. Buffet was a dear friend of Kidman, according to Daily Mail.

Kidman, 56, took to Instagram Stories to share her memories on Sunday, September 3.

The photos were likely taken during a spontaneous performance by Keith Urban and Jimmy Buffett on the Caribbean island of St Barts.

Keith recalled the event in a 2020 interview with American Country Countdown, mentioning that Buffett had been in St Barts, and they ran into him.

Buffett invited them to a local club, where he joined Keith for a few songs in a memorable and impromptu musical collaboration.

In a 2020 interview with American Country Countdown, Keith reminisced, "Jimmy Buffett was [in St. Barts], and I ended up sitting in with him for a couple of songs [laughing], as you do."

"There was a little club that he was going to—it's a bit of a long story—but he and his wife had their boat there, and they were just on the island for a couple of days, and we ran into them somehow 'cause we were just visiting," he continued.

"And, he was like, 'Hey, we're gonna go see this band play. You wanna come with us?' So, we went with them and then, they called Jimmy up to do a song. So, he got up and did a couple of songs, and the next minute, he gets me up to do a few songs. It was cool," he added.

Buffett had been battling skin cancer for the past four years, according to TMZ. He had entered hospice care recently, and Paul McCartney had visited him at his home a week before his death, singing to Buffett and his family.

Jimmy Buffett's remarkable journey began from humble roots as a small-time marijuana smuggler in Key West.

However, he transformed his life and career, creating a vast business empire rooted in his Caribbean-inspired soft rock music, which celebrated the Florida Keys, sunshine, and nightlife.

He became synonymous with a laid-back, subtropical party atmosphere, attracting legions of loyal fans known as ParrotHeads to his restaurants, resorts, and concerts. At the time of his death, Buffett's net worth was estimated at $1 billion by Forbes.

"Margaritaville', released on February 14, 1977, quickly took on a life of its own, becoming a state of mind for those "wastin away," and an excuse for a life of low-key fun and escapism for those "growing older, but not up."
