NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden traveled to Maui, Hawaii, after the devastation caused by the wildfires.

As reported by The Guardian, Biden stressed to Hawaiians that the US “grieves with you” and promised help “for as long as it takes.”

While in Hawaii, Biden also attended a ceremony that honored those killed in the tragic wildfires. Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to Twitter to post a video of Biden in the ceremony.

In the video by Hannity, it appears that the POTUS was sleeping mid-ceremony, after which, the internet has labeled him a ‘national embarrassment.’

Sean Hannity says 'wake up, Joe Biden'

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to Twitter on two occasions on Monday, August 21. In his first tweet, Hannity posted a 32-second clip of Joe Biden at the ceremony, where he seemed to be nodding off. Hannity wrote, “Biden appears to fall asleep during a ceremony in Hawaii honoring the hundreds of Americans killed by the fires.”

Not less than three hours later, this incident of Biden in Hawaii made it to Hannity’s official website where his staff titled the article, “NOT LOSING ANY SLEEP! Joe Nods Off During Meeting With Maui Wildfire Survivors.” The tweet read, “WAKE UP, JOE!”

The article written by Hannity’s staff mocked Biden, “Biden finally visited the island which was burned to the ground by devastating wildfires after two weeks of “no comment.” And when he finally shows up, he falls asleep.”

Hannity made sure that all his social media highlighted this video of Biden. He has now pinned this video to his Twitter and also posted it on Instagram with a similar caption as his first Tweet.

Internet slams Joe Biden over alleged sleeping incident in Hawaii

In response to Sean Hannity’s tweet, the internet seemed highly unimpressed by President Joe Biden. One person wrote, “How embarrassing and telling of sleepy Joe,” and another tweeted, “When he’s supposed to be attentive and supporting.”

One person has even labeled POTUS a, “national embarrassment” in their tweet. Another user tweeted, “The death and fires had nothing to do with Biden and his corrupt family so he is not interested one bit.”

"Appears to fall asleep?" Sean, he fell asleep,” tweeted a user as they corrected Hannity who only used the word “appears” in his tweet. The internet is convinced that Biden “doesn’t care” as one person wrote, “Of course he did...he doesn't care.”
