'Karen' calls Black man a 'pimp', blocks his car with her door in viral video
A woman was dubbed a "Karen" after a video of her confronting a Black man in her neighborhood went viral on the internet.
The footage from their encounter was first shared on TikToker @moemoe_90‘s account earlier this week. It has gone viral since and has garnered nearly 5 million views and 600,000 likes at the time of writing. A part two to the encounter was also posted on @moemoe_90’s page and has since been making the rounds of social media despite its lack of audio. The first part of the recording was filmed from the driver's seat of a vehicle. Monique Upchurch, the woman behind the @moemoe_90 TikTok account, shared the brief, minute-long clip after reportedly seeing it on a friend's Facebook. The video showed the grey and black car passing a house as an older woman carrying a door became inexplicably irate. The woman, who wasn't identified, could be seen in the video pointing at the driver and yelling "get this pimp" before keeping her door on the sidewalk and approaching the vehicle.
Based on the woman's spontaneous reaction to the sight of the driver, it appeared the two had some sort of history. She was seen in the video approaching the driver and shouting at him to "get out of here" while hurling several insults at the same time. She went on to refer to the area as "my street" and called the driver a "sh** son of a b****" before threatening to call the police on him and calling him a "pimp" again.
The woman was then seen hoisting her door and carrying it over to the street, where she placed it in front of the man's car so as to block him. The driver responded by telling her not to place the door near his car or he would kick her "a***." He then called her a "bitch" and began to exit the vehicle.
The woman stood behind her door while reiterating that the man is a "pimp." The driver subsequently threatened to "pimp you," angering the woman even further. She furiously told him to "get out of here," albeit he was trapped in place by her door and body -- both of which were blocking the vehicle from moving.
The woman concluded her rant by calling the man a "son of a b****" and letting him know that "this is my hood." In part two of the confrontation, the video showed the rest of the interaction but lacked any audio. Nonetheless, it appeared to have been recorded from further down the street. The man was seen in the video exiting her car, walking over and stomping repeatedly on the woman's door. He subsequently returned to his car and began to drive away. Following a brief cut in the video, his car was seen returning to the area where the woman was still standing outside, the Daily Dot reported.
