Ivar has not come to terms yet with how things are currently happening in his life. His stay at Kieven Rus where he befriended Prince Oleg might have looked like a great strategy at first but that is not how it has turned out to be.

Their supposed "bromance" goes haywire when Oleg presents Katya. Shocked and awed, Ivar, perhaps for the first time ever in his life, goes speechless and confused.

She not only looks exactly like Freydis, his dead wife, but also has the personality of Freydis. How is that possible? A thought that has been haunting us has also been disturbing Ivar.

We even had our theories that this is probably a grand scheme of Freydis to get payback from Ivar. When Ivar tried to talk to Katya as Freydis and tried to remind her of their wedding and their past, she pretended not to know anything.

Ivar might also have contemplated over the fact that she may be alive. But then she is a Russian princess and the would-be wife of Oleg. And that puts her far beyond his reach. Then the two get married, as we witnessed in Episode 6.

The woman he killed with his own bare hands stands right in front of him, marrying another man and that is something Ivar is having trouble internalizing. But then Oleg takes his discomfort to the next level. And Katya joins in.

She tries to seduce Ivar by asking him to undress her, right in front of her husband, and then the newlyweds have sex in front of Ivar.

For a man like Ivar The Boneless, who has absolutely no shame or reservations, or any concern for anyone’s sentiment, this kind of a situation should be anything but awkward. But he gets awkward and uncomfortable nevertheless.

Watching someone he thinks is his wife get intimate with another man in front of him has managed to stir up unexplored emotions in Ivar. Perhaps his stay in Russia is not going to be any fruitful as he had anticipated in the beginning.

To add to that, Oleg also admits that he has more knowledge about Ivar’s past than he can imagine. This indeed sounds ominous.

Is it possible that Oleg and Katya have teamed up for retribution against Ivar or is it simply a dark pleasure that Oleg derives out of traumatizing Ivar? But why, is the question. Will this be the end of Ivar The God as the Seer prophesized?

The answers we seek are a long way ahead. For now, we can only assume that the current situations evolving between Ivar, Oleg and Katya are not going to be anything positive and if Ivar doesn't find a way out of there soon, he could be in deep trouble.

'Vikings' Season 6 airs every Wednesday at 10 pm only on History Channel.
