‘Vikings’ Season 6 Episode 5: Fans think King Harald might skew the grand election to beat Bjorn Ironside

All the kings and jarls are about to elect the next King of Norway and fans think that Harald might have something up his sleeve.

Finally, the big day is here. As instructed and ordered by King Olaf the Stout, the Vikings would see a king being elected for the entire kingdom of Norway. Never in the history of the Vikings has such an event taken place. After some good amount of deliberation with Olaf, the kings and jarls agreed and arrived at King Harald’s kingdom to witness the one-of-its-kind event and cast their vote to their favorite leader and make him the future king of Norway.

It is indeed a big moment for the community, but will it go the way it is planned? While Olaf already had decided to make Bjorn Ironside the said king, Bjorn himself refused to be elected without any contender. After all, he is a man of principles, just like his father, Ragnar, and wants to be righteous in his acts as the current king of Kattegat. So, the election happens.

However, something seems misfit. Ketil Flatnose, who is back from Iceland, after the settlement plans go haywire, has joined Bjorn in his attempt to rescue Harald. But there’s more to his agenda than what we see. Or so it seems, from his mysterious behavior. On the day of the voting, Ketil and Harald exchange glances, as if to hint at something, which we are yet to discover. In the meantime, fans have their own assumptions.

And we couldn’t agree more. As we also had speculated before, we wouldn’t be surprised if Harald Finehair doesn’t turn out to be such a fine friend to Bjorn after all. Just because Bjorn came to save him from Olaf, doesn’t really mean he will forgo his dream of becoming the King of Norway: something Harald always wanted. And now, when the time has come, he could possibly pull a stunt that can ruin the election or prevent Bjorn from becoming the leader.

‘Vikings’ Season 6 airs every Wednesday at 10 pm/9c, only on History channel.
