Kamala Harris slammed for calling Tupac Shakur ‘best rapper alive’, Internet flames her for living in 1996
Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris had an “oops” moment when during NAACP's virtual convention she said hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur is the “best rapper alive.” Things got a little weird for the American politician as she could not defend her mistake properly.
According to Complex, when CNN commentator Angela Rye asked who she believed was the "best rapper alive,” the 55-year-old politician said “2Pac.” Angela Rye, who hosted the virtual event, corrected the California senator and said, “He's not alive! You said, 'He lives on...”
To rectify her mistake, all Kamala Harris could say was “I keep doing that.” Angela Rye then responded, “Listen, West Coast girls think 2Pac lives on. I'm with you. So 2Pac, keep going.” Harris tried coming back to the main question and asserted, “There are some I would not mention right now but they need to stay in their lane” possibly pointing at Kanye West as he had announced his presidential bid back in July.

We really wonder if Kamala Harris knows this, but her wrong assumption about late Tupac Shakur created quite a stir on Twitter. People asked if she really knew who Tupac is. One user said, “Kamala Harris literally can't name one living rapper. 2Pac is the only rapper she ever heard of, and she doesn't even know he's dead. . then watch her pathetic excuse why she can't name even one rapper. This is so sad and pathetic” Another slammed Harris and tweeted, “Kamala Harris asked, who’s the best rapper alive? She answers @2PAC She thinks his still alive and wants to be the Vice President? Oh hell naaa We don’t need any nuclear mïs understandings”
One person tweeted, “I could be reading too much in to her words but I thought she was talking about IceCube since he too is from the west coast but he is telling folks not to vote so she shaded him.” Another user added, “If I had to choose between someone that exaggerates about their affinity for rap music, or a sitting President that lied to the public about the threat posed by a deadly virus, then I would probably choose the former.” One sarcastically said, “she one of them 2pac "fans" that only listens to hit em up and says "Yeah i have listen to 2pac my whole entire life.”

Looking at the furious reactions on Twitter, we really hope she doesn’t lose out on votes because it may have been more than two decades since Tupac died but he still has a massive fan following around the world.
