Actress Vanessa Morgan is starting 2020 with a new chapter. The 'Riverdale' star got married to baseball star Michael Kopech. The wedding was attended by close friends and family at the Historic Walton House, Florida on Saturday, E News reported. As many as 40 guests were witness to the beautiful ceremony and Vanessa's sister, Celina, served as the maid of honor.

"We both knew the first day we met that 'this is it' and I'm so excited that today officially starts our forever," the actress was quoted as saying.  "Today, I vowed to love my best friend for a lifetime and it was a day spent with those we love in a room filled with endless love. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him," she added.

The newly-weds have been engaged since July last year and their proposal was straight out of a Hollywood rom-com. He was on his knees with a ring and she couldn't believe it was happening. The couple was on a romantic getaway. Michael, who is now off social media, had even written an elaborate post on why he thought he and Vanessa were meant for a happily ever after.

"I make decisions on the spur of the moment (i mean look at how our relationship has gone up to this point). I’m a very non-traditional type of person and I know I’ve found my match in you when it comes to that especially," he had written and added that there may be nay-sayers who will don't approve of their connection, but they weren't doing it for them.

He continued that Vanessa was much more deserving than just the moment, which he proposed but it felt magical to him. "I’m incredibly humbled by the love that you give and I only hope I can portray a fraction of the love and light that you carry with you. I’ll never have enough words to tell you how much I love you, but I promise to always show you," he concluded his post.

The couple had been dating for a year before they took the first step towards a future together.
