Fans beg Zac Efron to 'get back' with Vanessa Hudgens following her split with Austin Butler after 9 years
Fans and followers of Vanessa Hudgens really want her to get back with her ex Zac Efron now that she is officially single again.
Hudgens recently called it quits with her longtime boyfriend Austin Butler whom she was dating for 9 years. After the split, fans flocked to Twitter to urge the 'High School Musical' costars and once lovers Efron and Hudgens to get back together. Before dating Butler, Hudgens had dated Efron for around five years.
The pair were together from 2005 to 2010 after which Hudgens dated Butler. "Me finding out Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler broke up, but then realizing this is Zac Efron’s chance to revive Zanessa," wrote one fan. Another fan added, "Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler broke up ZANESSA IS BACK ON, GO ON AHEAD ZAC EFRON, she’s free now🤗."
A third social media user chimed in, "so what you’re saying is both Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are currently single?? some see this as devastating but HSM stans can only see an opportunity." A fan wrote "come get your woman!" addressing Efron. A source shared, "Vanessa and Austin are officially broken up, and Vanessa has been telling those close to her about their breakup," as reported by US Weekly.
Back in 2018, Hudgens had spoken to Women's Health and said that though she and Butler had been together for a while, she was in no rush to walk down the aisle. At the time she had said, "I want to get married, travel, then have kids — probably in my late 30s. Everyone’s clock is different."
Hudgens had also gushed about her relationship with Butler and had shared, "we both respect, trust and admire each other. It’s so solid now because I feel strong as an independent woman. I am very self-reliant, but it’s nice to have a best friend you can share victories with as well as losses."
