'Vagrant Queen' Season 1 Episode 2 preview: Cannibals and karaoke put Elida, Isaac, and Amae in hot water
She may have managed to barely escape the Republic (and her own fanatical supporters) in the first episode of SYFY's 'Vagrant Queen' Season 1, but it looks like Elida (Adriyan Rae) and her crew may have jumped from the pan into the fire. Sure, they don't have to worry about the villainous Commander Lazaro (Paul du Toit) for the moment but cannibals aren't much better, now are they?
Well, unfortunately, it looks like cannibals are exactly what's on the menu for Elida in Episode 2, 'Yippee Ki Yay', and she's going to have to do some quick thinking to get herself, Isaac (Tim Rozon), and Amae (Alex McGregor) off theirs. However, with the Winnipeg terribly damaged, it doesn't look like our intrepid heroes are going to be getting out of this situation easily.
A promo for the episode that's available online shows the unlucky trio stranded on a strange planet. A scene featured in the clip reveals that the cannibalistic aliens who have captured them are going to pit our heroes against each other in one of the most brutal forms of battle known to man or alien: a karaoke contest.
So far, we haven't seen any evidence to suggest that any of the team might be good at singing, though we are curious about what songs they would sing if they are in fact not terrible at it. We're guessing Isaac's the only one who might sing songs we would recognize, seeing as he's the only one who's from Earth, but we could be wrong.
Will our heroes be able to survive this ordeal with all their limbs intact? Which popular Canadian song is Isaac going to ruin? And is Elida going to get to meet her mother again or is she just going to stumble from one strange adventure to the other for the rest of the season?
Well don't look at us, we don't know either, but you could tune in and find out. Here's the official synopsis for the upcoming episode: "The team is forced to stop for repairs, but the cannibals who reside there have other plans."
'Vagrant Queen' airs new episodes Fridays at 10 pm ET, exclusively on SYFY.
