Kiera Allen and Victoria Pedretti set to star in 'Disinherited' directed by 'Breaking Bad' co-creator
The drama slate at FX just got bigger and better with the addition of the upcoming drama show 'Disinherited'. FX and Hulu have picked up 'Disinherited,' starring Victoria Pedretti and Kiera Allen. The show is created by 'Better Call Saul' showrunner Peter Gould, along with Rian Johnson and T-Street's Ram Bergman and Nena Rodrigue. The plot of the upcoming show centers around two sisters, played by Pedretti and Allen, whose lives change after they inherit a formidable sum.
"Disinherited is exactly the kind of bold, character-driven storytelling that defines FX," The President of FX Entertainment, Gina Balian, said in a recent statement. "With Peter Gould at the helm, this is a deeply human story about family, power, and consequence, that plays with high moral stakes. And at the center of it all is a pair of sisters for whom it’s impossible not to root for as we watch this David vs. Goliath story unfold." The show adds further value to FX's upcoming drama slate, which already includes titles such as 'Alien: Earth', 'American Horror Story', 'The Lowdown', 'Shogun', 'The Beauty', and a 'Snowfall' spinoff.
Furthermore, the pilot was also written and directed by Gould in June 2025. The official plot synopsis defines the show as a tale of two "scrappy sisters thrust by an unexpected inheritance into a world of generational wealth and long-buried crimes." In addition to Pedretti and Allen, the cast also includes Alan Ruck, Karl Glusman, Katja Herbers, Jonathan Higginbotham, and Eddie Marsan.
Pedretti was last seen in Netflix's popular psychological thriller series 'You' as Love Quinn, and in the horror shows 'The Haunting of Hill House' and 'The Haunting of Bly Manor'. Allen, on the other hand, is known for 'Watson' and the Hulu movie 'Run' alongside Sarah Paulson. 'Run' went on to become Hulu's most-watched film, earning Allen considerable praise for her performance. 'Disinherited' is executive-produced by Gould, with FX Productions supervising. The prominent creator is a titan of the television industry, having previously helmed 'Better Call Saul' and worked on 'Breaking Bad' throughout its five-season run.
He was previously awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series for 'Breaking Bad' in 2013 and 2014, as well as the Writers' Guild of America Award for Best Episodic Drama. For the first two seasons of the 'Breaking Bad' spinoff show starring Bob Odenkirk as criminal lawyer Saul Goodman, Gould collaborated with Vince Gilligan as co-creator. Gould then served as the showrunner and wrote and directed several critically acclaimed episodes, including the memorable show finale. T-Street was established by Bergman and Johnson in 2019, and their past credits include the Netflix show 'Three-Body Problem' and 'Poker Face' on Peacock.
