The Lips of Ashlyn Whimpey: Utah State cheerleader goes viral after emotional reaction to team’s loss
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA: The emotional reaction of Utah State cheerleader Ashlyn Whimpey during the BCAA Men's Basketball Tournament has gone viral. The 20-year-old team cheerleader was possibly the one who was most heartbroken by the loss when the Missouri Tigers defeated the Utah State Aggies in their final game on Thursday, March 16.
Whimpey allowed her emotions to get the better of her as the basketball game entered its final few minutes. She began to cry and her lip began to tremble as she watched her team attempt to come back after falling behind by 12 points with less than two minutes left in the second half. The Aggies cheerleader has now turned to social media to make light of the TNT cameras' moment when she was caught sobbing prior to Utah State's 76-65 loss to Missouri in the tournament's first round. Whimpey took to TikTok to address the video as she hashtagged it #marchsadness and said, "And now I am a meme."
