Representing the queen in March 2012, Prince Harry went to Jamaica to meet Usain at the Usain Bolt Track at the University of the West Indies as a part of the Diamond Jubilee Tour. Along with Jamaica, he also went to Belize, the Bahamas, and Brazil. The two friends also posed in Usain Bolt's signature lightning bolt style together before Usain gave his royal 'Harry can bolt' T-shirt to Harry. At the time, the Duke and Usain Bolt joked around together and the fastest man in the world even let the prince win the race when the two of them together hit the track.
In 2016, the two also shared some Twitter messages when Harry challenged Usain to a "re-run". In 2017, after Harry's engagement with Meghan, Usain said that he would organize three stag dos for the royal couple after their nuptials. According to reports, Harry ended his friendships with most of his inner circle after he met Meghan and got engaged. It seems that he got too busy in his personal life. His friendships either cooled or completely ended with people.
While preparing for their wedding, Prince said that he had to freeze out some of his old friends because Meghan said that she did not want him to have any temptations as the two started a new chapter in their life. An insider said that the Duke dropped many of his close friends, including Tom Skippy, one of his best friends, because they might be a bad influence. Tom was Harry's childhood friend and the two were so close that Tom was considered his 'wingman'. An insider also said, "It's all part of Meghan's quiet airbrushing out of Harry's old posse. She doesn't want temptation — of any sort — being put in his way while they concentrate on starting a family."
