What happened to Lexus Scheller?
Since the day of her diagnosis, Lexus has posted three videos. It is seen in the video that Lexus keeps batting an eyelid seemingly involuntarily. The hashtags she used in her post were #facialparalysis, #bellspalsy, and #fyp, and captioned it as "crying". In her first video on Instagram, she shared that it was the second day of her diagnosis and she followed up this update with another video where she explained what Bell's Palsy is. She said that the right side of her face is paralyzed which is making eating, closing her eyes, and speaking difficult. She thought that she was having an ear infection but when her lips were getting swollen she figured it might be something else. It then gradually spread to other parts of her face. She later updated fans about her medical condition and revealed that she is on steroids and she's hoping to see more movement in her face.
'Keep pushing mama'
Even though Lexus' facial condition has made it impossible for her to do daily tasks with ease, she is seen to be in good spirits in her videos. Toward the end of her explanatory video, she clarified that the cause of her illness is unknown, but asked her followers to "send prayers" for quick recovery.
Fans were quick to oblige with comments on Instagram as one user commented, "My mom had it happen when she was really stressed. Hope you heal quickly girly." Another said, "I'm so sorry :( hopefully it goes away soon."
Some even shared their personal struggles with the condition. One comment read, "Girl its finna go away. My sister had the same thing and it went away in a couple of weeks." Another wrote, "My stepdad got it. It did resolve itself in a few weeks. I hope it works itself out for you soon."
Some users also encouraged her to share further updates as one fan said, "Did they do scans for a possible stroke? To me this is ER status s**t. Keep us updated!" One comment really stood out, where the user asked her for her CashApp username to help her cover her medical costs. They said, "What’s the cashapp girly??" Lexus replied to the comment with her username.
