'Two Jimmys for the price of one': Jimmy Fallon and Meghan Trainor perform new song 'Wrap Me Up' on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Jimmy Fallon stopped by 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on Monday to perform his new holiday song 'Wrap Me Up' alongside music star Meghan Trainor. Seeing the late-night rivals together on the same show was a nice surprise for viewers, and even Kimmel himself.
Fallon broke the news of the song just a couple of weeks ago on his program — 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' — and the track has already become the number-one holiday song in the country, according to Kimmel.
The evening of November 27 marked the first public performance of the song for Fallon and Trainor.
The opening act
The episode kicked off with Kimmel in his dressing room, and to everyone's surprise, Fallon walked in with his guitar.
The camaraderie among the late-night hosts, forged during a podcast together amid the writers' strike, was evident as they embraced and engaged in a friendly chat.
Fallon humorously shared that he was able to walk right into the building because the security mistook him for Kimmel.

Fallon then proposed the idea of performing their new song on Kimmel's show, and while Kimmel was more than happy to accommodate, he couldn't help but inquire about the obvious choice – why not perform it on Fallon's own show?
Fallon's response? A casual, "Thought never occurred to me."
Fallon 'always wanted to do something' with Trainor
When Fallon initially announced the song, expressing his love for the holidays, he mentioned having an idea for a song about wrapping gifts.
He shared that he sent the concept to Meghan Trainor, someone he had "always wanted to do something with."
Trainor, after some creative input, responded with changes to the title and lyrics, transforming Fallon's original 'Wrap It Up' to the current title, 'Wrap Me Up'.
This holiday tune follows Fallon's previous Christmas releases, including 2021’s 'It Was A … (Masked Christmas)' featuring Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion, as well as a 2017 a cappella cover of 'Wonderful Christmastime' with the Roots, Paul McCartney, and the cast of 'Sing'.
'Two Jimmys for the price of one'
The unexpected appearance of Fallon on Kimmel's show sparked surprise among viewers, leading to a flurry of reactions on social media.
Fallon himself posted, "Happy Cyber Monday! Get two Jimmys for the price of one! I will be performing #WrapMeUp live with @Meghan_Trainor on @JimmyKimmelLive".

It seems late-night hosts have formed a close bond of late, as John Oliver also made an appearance on 'The Tonight Show' recently.
