Priscilla Presley says trying to keep family together and ‘protect grandchildren’ after contesting late daughter Lisa Marie’s will
MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: Priscilla Presley, 77, who has contested the will her only daughter had made, said on Wednesday, February 1, that she is trying to keep the family 'together' and 'protect her grandchildren.' Wednesday would have been Lisa Marie's 55th birthday.
“Today would have been Lisa’s 55th birthday. My wish is to protect my three grandchildren and keep our family together,” Priscilla Presley, ex-wife of Elvis Presley said on Page Six. Lisa tragically died on Thursday, January 12, at a hospital after suffering from cardiac arrest. She was found unresponsive at her home in Calabasas before she was rushed to the hospital where she breathed her last.

Loved her as 'my son'
“From the first moment I held Lisa in my arms, I’ve protected, loved, and guided her, as I have my son. Our hearts are broken, and I am having to learn to live without my only daughter,” she continued as per the outlet.
Lisa Marie’s daughter Riley Keough to inherit her estate
Lisa attended the Golden Globes just before she passed away. During her visit to the Golden Globes, it was noted that she wasn't feeling well. Her unexpected death occurred two days later. At the end of January, she was laid to rest at Graceland. After Lisa Marie's death, her estate was placed in a trust. Lisa Marie’s daughter Riley Keough is set to inherit the estate now.
Lisa Marie's signature on the will Priscilla contested was 'inconsistent'
After Priscilla, 77, filed the paperwork to set aside a trust amendment that Lisa Marie made in 2010 claiming that Lisa Marie's signature is "inconsistent," and that her name was misspelled, Lisa Marie made a public statement about her desire to protect her family.
“We truly love all of you, and we feel your prayers,” Priscilla said as she thanked everyone for showing care. “Thank you so much for caring so deeply for our family,” she continued in her message.
Invalidating the will is merely a 'money grab'
As per a source close to the late singer, cited by Page Six, Priscilla’s attempt to invalidate the will is merely a “money grab.” “She had no relationship with Priscilla, [her ex-husband] Michael Lockwood, or her half-brother [Navarone Garibaldi],” the source shared.
Moreover, it was revealed that Lockwood, who had a contentious divorce from Lisa Marie, was not actually invited to the memorial.
