MALIBU, CALIFORNIA:  Denise Richards, OnlyFans star, and former reality star, recently attended the premiere of the latest TV show 'Paper Empire' in Cannes. As she graced the red carpet with her presence, all eyes were on her as she made an unforgettable entrance in a ravishing black dress that radiated sensuality and sophistication. The gown was a true masterpiece, featuring long, flowing sleeves that hugged her arms and a daring neckline accentuating her decolletage. What truly made the dress stand out were the delicate gold chains that adorned the sides, holding the garment together and giving it an edgy, modern twist. She was seen attending the event with her husband, Aaron Phypers.

As she posed for the cameras, the slit on the dress revealed her flawless legs, adding an extra touch of glamour and allure to her already stunning look. However, with the daring cut came the risk of a wardrobe malfunction, which only added to the excitement and anticipation of the event. Despite the undeniable beauty of her ensemble, some social media users quickly criticized the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star for her choice of outfit.

Denise Richards shares 'Paper Empire' premiere look

Back in 1994, Elizabeth Hurley stunned the world with her jaw-dropping black Versace safety-pin dress at a red-carpet event. The iconic dress was so memorable that it earned its own Wikipedia page and has been referenced in pop culture numerous times. Now, fast forward to 2023, and it seems that Denise has taken inspiration from Hurley's iconic look and added her own modern twist to it. At the 'Paper Empire' premiere in Cannes, France on April 18, the 52-year-old actress arrived in a dress that looked conservative at the top with a high neckline and long sleeves.

However, the real drama of the outfit was reserved for the bottom half of the design. With a high slit that wrapped up her toned thigh and carried over to her hip and butt, only a few strategically placed gold chains held everything together over her gorgeous curves. Richards paired her look with black sky-high heels that elongated her legs and kept her blonde hair straight and sleek. A smoky shadow made her blue eyes pop, and a hint of color on her soft pink lips made her look radiant. It's clear that Richards drew inspiration from Hurley's iconic dress, but she added her own modern twist to it. The dress was designed by Emilio Pucci, but it's safe to say that Hurley is probably proud to see her 1990s look still going strong over two decades later. But the internet was quick to call out Denise for her choice of clothing. She was deemed too old for the dress.

'Not flattering at all'

As soon as Denise posted her look on Instagram, her comment section was crowded with comments like, "You need a new photog. these pics are awful. your high cheekbones and gorgeous eyes should be highlighted and they are not. I'm just an amateur but you should do better" were seen. One user even said, "Not flattering at all", while one dismissed the whole look by saying, "Ummmm...noo." One even called out her makeup game, saying, "Denise - we love u - but enough with the raccoon black eyeliner….." One comment really stood out from the rest. They said, "I feel like you should be looking through into a peephole and saying “Open up now.”
