'I love you, Dad': Treat Williams' daughter Elinor pays tribute to star father on Father's Day
MANCHESTER, VERMONT: On Father's Day, Treat Williams' daughter, Elinor, paid tribute to her late father, who died last week. Elinor shared two heartfelt pictures of the beloved actor on Instagram. On top of a photo capturing a young Williams playing with Elinor as a baby, the 24-year-old wrote, "I love you, Dad. I miss you."
On Monday, June 12, the 71-year-old ‘Everwood’ star died in a motorcycle accident in Vermont. According to Williams' representative, Barry McPherson, tragedy struck when a car abruptly cut him off while he was making a turn. McPherson said, "He was the nicest guy. He was so talented. Treat has been the heart of Hollywood since the late 1970s. He was an actor's actor, and filmmakers loved him." Elinor also shared another photo of her father beaming atop a tractor. She captioned the photo, "I took this picture of my pops when I was in college. He's so handsome."
'Absolutely shattered'
Numerous celebrities, including Kim Cattrall, Hilaria Baldwin, Matt Bomer and Melissa Gilbert, penned tributes to Williams on social media. Ellie addressed her father's death on social media, two days after the accident. Sharing Williams' photo, she wrote, "This is a pain I have never felt. I am absolutely shattered."

Williams had been married to producer, Pam Van Sant, 68, since June 1988. Together, they raised a son, Gill, born in December 1992, and welcomed Ellie in September 1998.
'Terrible heartbreak'
Thanking her fans and well-wishers for their support, Elinor wrote, "Thank you to everyone who has sent messages and kept our family in your hearts during this terrible heartbreak."
Vermont State Police investigators confirmed that the driver of the aforementioned car involved in the accident, Ryan Koss, was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
