Video shows Travis Scott spitting on teen fan, egging crowd to 'f**k him up'

Fans have called for canceling Travis Scott after reports said he did not halt his concert despite the crowd begging him amid the stampede

Travis Scott is being vehemently criticized by his fans following the horrific stampede at Astroworld Fest on November 5, that claimed the lives of eight people and left hundreds injured. Fans attending the fest have claimed that Travis chose to ignore the desperate pleas of the crowd to halt the concert, even as ambulances arrived at the venue to escort the dead and the wounded. Travis Scott later took to Instagram and released a statement to share his devastation about the incident. However, he has been sued by multiple Astroworld attendees who accused him of inciting the chaos.

Meanwhile, an old video of Travis Scott has resurfaced on the internet where he can be seen shouting at a teenage fan at a past concert. Reportedly, the young fan tried to grab his Yeezy shoes while Travis was crowd surfing. The rapper immediately lost his cool and spat on the fan. He also asked the crowd repeatedly to "F**k him up", indicating that he should be beaten up for his deed. The youngster was eventually escorted out from the crowd by security.

The 30-year-old rapper became the target of internet policing as angry fans demanded that he be canceled for his attitude. The old video from Openair Frauenfeld music festival from Switzerland only added fuel to the fire. 

"Travis Scott WILL stop his show to spit on a kid & tell the crowd to “f*ck him up* over his ugly shoe but won’t stop a show when his fans are dying. Priorities right?" screenwriter Meghan McCarthy tweeted while calling out Travis Scott. 

Another angry fan dubbed him "weak" as they tweeted, "Is he spitting on his fan? He instigates “raging” and then spits on his fan over some f**king shoes that he gets for free from Nike? @trvisXX
You weak for this. Big weak."

"Genuinely hope @trvisXX career is CANCELLED. Watching fans be carried out and you didn't take a breath. Go spit on some more fans...trash person #canceltravisscott," wrote another furious fan.

"No because Travis Scott is crazy. This who y’all defending? Travis could’ve easily replaced the shoe. He don’t give a f**k about y’all. #ASTROWORLDFest #Astrofest," read a tweet calling out Travis Scott stans.

Meanwhile, fans have shared old videos of other artists like ASAP Rocky, Billie Eilish, and late Chester Bennington, where they can be seen halting their concerts midway to help out fans in distress. The videos have prompted intense comparison between the attitude of these singers and that of the 'Goosebumps' hitmaker. Scott and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner were also slammed for offering only "thoughts and prayers" to the families of Astroworld victims, while rapper Roddy Ricch decided to donate his net earnings from the fest to support these families.
