Travis Kelce gracefully dodges questions about Taylor Swift, says he's going to keep his 'relationship personal'

When asked about his and Taylor Swift's relationship status, Travis Kelce replied, 'The latest status is I got to see her last week'

FRANKFURT, GERMANY: Travis Kelce was not in the mood to talk about his rumored romance with Taylor Swift during a press conference in Germany on Friday, November 2.

The Chiefs tight end, who is in Frankfurt for the international game against the Dolphins on Sunday, November 5, faced some awkward questions from the media about his relationship status, TMZ reports. 

Travis Kelce was asked if he is in love with Taylor Swift 

When one reporter asked him "Are you in love with Swift", Kelce dodged the question and replied, “I’m going to keep my personal relationship personal.”

Prior to answering the question he was also asked to provide an update about his and Taylor Swift's relationship.

He replied to the question by saying, "The latest status is I got to see her last week. That's the latest status right there."

One more reporter wanted to know if Swift would be attending the game at Deutsche Bank Park, but Kelce dodged the question as well.

He, however, dodged the question as well by sidestepping. 

Internet says Travis Kelce was put on the spot but handled it with grace

The internet reacted to the awkward press conference by saying that Travis Kelce was put on the spot but handled it with grace. 

One X user wrote, "The reporter was out of line, but thankfully he handled it with grace."

Another one wrote questioning the love, "Oh man they really put him on the spot on this one I’m sure the NFL script requires them to make appearances but…LOVE?!?!"

One more X user wrote, "Seems like Taylor Swift has a way of capturing hearts all around the world, including Germany!."

A fourth user wrote, "What does that question have to do with football..like stay on topic."  

Travis Kelce has vowed to keep his relationship personal 

In September, Kelce told his brother Jason Kelce on the 'New Heights' podcast episode, "It is my personal life," in reference to Taylor Swift.

"I want to respect both of our lives. She isn’t in the media as much as I am doing this show every single week and having fun during the NFL season on other guys’ shows," he said at the time.

"I know I brought all this attention to me," Travis said, adding "I did the whole friendship bracelet thing and told everybody how butt-hurt I was I didn’t get to meet Taylor."

He continued, "Everything moving forward, I think me talking about sports will have to be where I keep it."
