Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian open up on drummer's life-threatening pancreatitis
A week after Travis Barker was rushed to the hospital, the Blink-182 drummer finally opened up on what exactly happened. The renowned musician took to his Instagram to spill the details of his sudden hospitalization which left his fans devastated. Travis’ wife Kourtney Kardashian, who had accompanied the drummer during his hospitalization, also shed light on the incident via her Instagram account.
Travis Barker, on his Instagram story, revealed that he suffered from life-threatening pancreatitis that led to excruciating pain. The drummer added that he was grateful for the support he got and that he was feeling much better. Kourtney, who enjoys close to 190 million followers on Instagram, thanked the doctors, specialists, and nurses for healing her musician husband.

‘I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since’
Addressing his hospitalization, Travis on Instagram said, “I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since.” The 46-year-old continued, “During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube.”
He further explained, “This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis”, adding, “I am so very very grateful that with intensive treatment I am currently much better." Travis Barker was taken to hospital on June 28 due to medical issues unknown at the time. Travis, along with Kourtney, arrived at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center regarding some uneasiness.
Kourtney Kardashian sheds light on Travis Barker’s hospitalization
Travis Barker’s wife Kourtney Kardashian also shared a statement regarding the drummer’s medical condition on the same day. “Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis”, said the reality star on Instagram. She added, “I’m so so thankful to our specialists, doctors, and nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking such wonderful care of my husband and me during our stay.” In another story, Kourtney wrote, “It’s crazy how sometimes words could never truly express the gratitude or feelings I have inside of me.”
Hours after Travis’ hospitalization a week ago, his 16-year-old daughter Alabama Barker took to social media to ask fans for prayers. His son Landon Barker had performed at a concert on the same day with Machine Gun Kelly but the two did not address Travis getting hospitalized. A few hours prior to getting hospitalized, Travis Barker had tweeted, “God save me," which is also the name of his song with Machine Gun Kelly. The fans on Twitter had then discussed how the timing of the tweet was weird.
