Did Tory Lanez really shoot Megan Thee Stallion? The controversy has been mired with mixed responses and the details don't exactly match up to what really transpired on July 12, 2020, after which Tory was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle. Clearing the air, the 25-year-old singer who recently broke all records with her Cardi B collaboration 'WAP', shed light on everything that happened on that night — along with how Kylie Jenner knew about it — in a fiery Instagram Live session on Thursday, August 20, night. 

“Yes, this — Tory shot me,” she said. “You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people to these blogs, lying and s**t. Stop lying! Why lie? I don't understand. I tried to keep the situation off the internet, but you dragging it. You really f**kin’ dragging it. M****af****s talkin’ ‘bout I hit this n***a. I never hit you. Muthf****s was like, 'Oh she mad ’cause he was tryna f**k with Kylie. No, I wasn't. You dry shot me.”

While initially it was reported that Megan was in the vehicle with Tory, Megan reveals there were four people inside the vehicle. "Everybody in the car...it's only four m*****f****s in the car," she continued. "Me, you, my homegirl and yo security. Everybody in the car arguing. I'm in the front seat, this n***a in the backseat. I get out the car, I'm done arguing. I don't wanna argue no more. I get out. I'm walking away. This —, from out the backseat of the car, start shooting me. You shot me. I ain't get cut by no glass."

The one big question on everyone's minds has been why she did not tell the cops that Tory shot her. Answering those questions, Megan said, "’Cause the people in the neighborhood...there's a witness," adding, "When the police came because the neighbors called the police. This did not happen at Kylie's house. This happened damn near back at the house I was staying at. I was just tryna get home. I was five minutes away from my spot. The police come. I'm scared. All this s**t going on with the police. The police is shooting m****f****s for anything. The police was literally killing Black people for no m****f*****n’ reason. Soon as the police tell us all to get out the m*****f*****n’ car, the police is really aggressive. You think I'm ’bout to tell the police that we, us Black people got a gun in the car? You want me to tell the laws that we got a gun in the car so they can shoot all of us up? I'm scared. It's a helicopter over us and some mo s**t. Why the f**k would I tell the laws somebody got a gun in the car and this n***a shot me? So I can get shot, you can get shot, she can get shot?."

Before the live stream, Megan tweeted, "Lie one more time and ima quit sparing you." The tweet soon went on to collect over 23,000 retweets and 116,000 likes.

The Internet was soon brimming with tweets and many couldn't help but take Megan's side after the confession. "Y’all blaming Megan for bringing this s**t to the internet as is she literally wasn’t forced into it. Y’all been harassing her for weeks asking her to confirm it was Tory and asking for x rays and s**t but now she’s a snitch?¿? Make it make sense," one tweet read and another said, "Tory Lanez been canceled and the fact it took Megan saying it out of her mouth for ugly a** men to believe her disgusts me. Black women go through so much to protect black men and they still disrespect us. I can't."

"Megan finally confirmed that she was shot by Tory, but didn’t tell the cops about Tory shooting her, to PROTECT Tory, and y’all are mad at Megan???" one tweet read and another said, "The fact that Kylie knew all this and didn’t try to defend Megan but watched her talk about it exclusively on kwtuk." Another Twitter user posted: "does anyone know what kind of relationship do Megan, Kylie and Tory have? were they just friends? I'm sorry but I'm trying to find some context... this is all too crazy."

One said, "Ppl at the party saying that Megan and Kylie got into an altercation because Kylie and Tory were flirting. Kylies security stepped in and Tory stepped up to defend Megan. After that it all gets murky. Whole story doesn’t add up," and another posted, "Let this had been Kylie would y’all have kept this energy ? B****s been pressing her to say Tory name now y’all on some wild s**t saying she shouldn’t have told the truth about what happend to HER ! F**k y’all! There is no way to justify what he did unless Megan shot him !

As per a report by TMZ, the LA County DA's Office is reviewing possible assault charges against Tory for his alleged involvement in the shooting. LAPD detectives opened an investigation into Tory in July after he allegedly shot Megan in the foot as she exited his chauffeur-driven SUV on the heels of an argument that erupted inside the ride," law enforcement officials told the outlet.
