Rapper Tory Lanez has been arrested on a gun charge following a night out with fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion, and fans have several opinions about the situation ranging from suspicions of domestic violence to criticizing the two for flouting social distancing directives. Fans eventually had their minds blown at Lanez's real name and height, which were listed on his booking information.
After Lanez was charged, his name was listed as Daystar Peterson, his height as 5'3 and his weight as 120 lbs. Stallion was listed as the 'victim' in the incident. Reports suggest she was taken to the hospital where she got wounds on her foot treated. The report also notes that four shell casings were recovered at the scene of the incident, which is being described as an argument that took place outside a house party. After the disturbance was reported, cops arrived at the scene. Witnesses claimed that they heard people arguing in an SUV, following which shots were fired and the vehicle then took off. When police located the SUV, they found both Lanez and Stallion inside it along with another unidentified woman. After discovering Stallion was bleeding from her foot, which was believed to have resulted from broken glass on the vehicle's floor, the police searched the SUV and found a gun. Lanez has been booked for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.
Many have been criticizing both the rappers for the incident as well as an earlier poolside party they attended at Kylie Jenners' Holmby Hills home. People have slammed the duo for not paying attention to any coronavirus-related social distancing guidelines and some have expressed concerns over Stallion's well being, which some perceive as a potential case of domestic violence. Many others, however, took to making jokes at Lanez's expense. One tweet read, "Daystar needs daycare lmaooo mans is 5’3 and 120lbs," another user said, "Forget his height, his first name is Daystar!?!" and one joked, "His name is Daystar too??? Why is the lord punishing me on my bday month during the month of my bday."
