The couple, who share five children, released a joint statement through social media, expressing their commitment to working together as "loving parents during this difficult time."
In the heartfelt statement shared by Dean on Instagram, he wrote, "It’s with great sadness and a very, very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways and start a new journey of our own."
'We will continue to work together as loving parents'
The former couple, known for their appearances on the reality series 'Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood,' emphasized their dedication to their children, and said, "We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time." They requested privacy from the public as they navigate this new chapter in their lives, the Daily Mail reported. However, the post on both Twitter and Instagram from Dean has seemingly been removed.
Tori and Dean are parents to their five children: Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 11, Finn, 10, and Beau, six. Dean is also the father of a son named Jack, 24, from his previous relationship with Mary Jo Eustace.
The Rocky relationship
Throughout their marriage, the 'Beverly Hills, 90210 alum and Dean faced rumors of marital strife and financial difficulties.
