'I did the snake and got up': Tommy Davidson reveals how Will Smith confronted him about his and Jada Pinkett Smith's on-screen kiss

Tommy Davidson said that Will Smith kept saying that he did not ‘appreciate’ what happened while Jada Pinkett tried to calm him down

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tommy Davidson has spoken about the moment when things got hot between Will Smith and him.

While appearing on Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay’ podcast, the comedian said that the ‘Emancipation’ star confronted him after his on-screen kissing scene with wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

What did Will Smith say to Tommy Davidson during their heated moment?

The 59-year-old said, “He came into the trailer and I was sitting down. He’s standing over me and he’s like, ‘I don’t appreciate that, man. I don’t appreciate that.’ And I’m like, ‘What you talking about?’ I always know to play it off."

“I’m like, ‘What’s going on man? Tell me what’s happening.’ And since he was standing and I was sitting, I was a real nice fella. That’s about physics," he said.

Davidson said on Wednesday, October 11, that Smith kept saying that he did not ‘appreciate’ what happened and that Jada tried her best to keep her husband calm, reports PageSix.

“I’m saying, ‘What’s happening, man?’ And he’s like, ‘You tell me what’s happening. Hmm? Hmm?’ And [he’s biting his lip like] he might do something,” Davidson further said.

“I did the snake and got up, and then I was like, ‘So what are you talking about, man?,’” recalled Davidson.

He suggested that the two should have a conversation in a private space since others were present in the trailer too.

“Jada was like, ‘Oh, nah, nah, y’all.’ I was like, ‘What you mean “nah, y’all”? Tell him!’” Davidson remembered asking her, adding “And that was the end of that.”

Will Smith infamously slapped host Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars after he poked fun at his wife’s Alopecia.

The slapgate is back in the news after Jada gave an interview a few days ago where she shared that she and Smith have been separated for the past six years now.

“We’re still figuring it out,” she said, adding “We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.”

On being asked if she spoke to Chris after the incident, she said, “No, I haven't talked to Chris.”

She told People, "I just hope that all the misunderstanding around this can be cleared up and that there can be peace."

"… Whatever misunderstanding might’ve been created, what could I have done to avoid that misunderstanding? The one thing that I think about is that call," Jada continued.
