'It was mind-blowing': Tom Holland reveals the exact moment he fell for his first crush Emma Watson
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Holland is slowly trying to get out of his comfortable superhero persona and trying to establish himself as a versatile actor in the industry. His new television series 'The Crowded Room', whose first episode is set to be released on Friday, June 9, on Apple TV Plus, is probably the first step in that direction.
Holland, 27, plays a character loosely inspired by infamous campus rapist Billy Milligan, who claimed to have 24 distinct personalities after being arrested in 1979 and became the first person to be acquitted on the grounds of dissociative identity disorder.
The British actor, who is presently in a relationship with his MCU so-star Zendaya, recently disclosed while speaking to W Magazine that he had a crush on Emma Watson. The actress is best known for playing Hermoine in the Harry Potter series.
'That was mind-blowing'
The 'Spider-Man' actor recalled Emma from the 2005 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' movie. When asked about his first crush, he said, "Emma Watson in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. She wears this pink dress. That was mind-blowing for me.”'
Holland was referring to the scene where Hermoine was shown making her way into the Yule Ball wearing a pink gown. The character turned everyone's eyes with her stunning looks as she descended the staircase. The scene showed Hermoine spending most of her time with Viktor Krum, much to the dislike of Ron, who eventually gets jealous.
Holland and Watson at Wimbledon 2018
Tom Holland and his father became part of a hilarious meme when the father-son duo attended Wimbledon Tennis Championships, where Holland's crush was also present. Their reactions and the timing of the photo were absolutely spot on, which made them quickly viral.
On the tournament's thirteenth day at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, London, Tom and his dad were seen seated together while being completely engrossed in the game when Emma arrived. The hilarious moment was captured by the sneaky cameraman and it just took a few minutes before it turned out to be a viral meme. The picture was even shared on an Instagram page.
The quote in the picture shows Holland urging his father to act normal as Emma Watson arrived at the match. His father was visibly excited to see the actress while Holland calmly looked on the other side with a sweet smile.
