Tom Hanks named potential witness in son Chet’s nasty court battle with ex-girlfriend Kiana Parker
RICHMOND, TEXAS: Tom Hanks has reportedly been dragged into his son Chet's messy court battle with ex-girlfriend Kiana Parker. The Hollywood veteran has reportedly been named as a potential witness in the case.
Court documents from Fort Bend County Justice Center revealed how Chet, 32, asked a court to sanction Parker as part of their dispute. The exes have been fighting in court ever since their breakup in early 2021.

Violent altercations
In January 2021, Parker reportedly obtained a restraining order against Chet, accusing him of attacking her multiple times during the course of their relationship. She recounted one incident in which Chet allegedly became angry when she attempted to leave a hotel room. According to her, he grabbed her wrists and arms to keep her inside. In another altercation, Chet allegedly hurled a beer bottle at her. Parker claimed her ex called her a “ghetto Black b***c” and that nobody would believe her story because he’s “Chet Hanks.”
A video of the pair fighting was leaked online a couple of weeks later. The clip showed a bloodied Chet filming what appeared to be the end of an altercation they had at his Texas residence. Chet claimed Parker brought "three menacing large men” with her to take property after their split. A fight subsequently broke out in which Chet was allegedly smashed in the face with a pot. Parker, however, denied the accusations and argued self-defense.

Courtroom battle
Chet subsequently filed a lawsuit against Parker for theft, assault, and battery. He painted her as the abusive one in the relationship and accused her of using his credit cards to pay her rent without his consent. Parker responded with her own civil lawsuit accusing Chet of assault and demanded $1M in damages. She provided additional details of the alleged hotel room altercation. “Hanks became aggressive and hostile. As [Kiana] was lying in bed, Hanks started verbally abusing and threatening her," the suit read. "He shoved her, threatening her with imminent bodily injury, while stating “[I] would not disrespect [him], [he] was in control, [he] would not allow what happened with his mom and dad’s relationship to happen to ours and other things,” it added.
Chet has now asked the court to sanction his ex for refusing to sit for a deposition and for failing to turn over evidence. According to him, Kiana has failed to comply with the court's order and wants her to be slapped with $11,000 in sanctions. Chet, as part of his motion, also claimed that Parker's lawyers told his counsel that the “case should be settled because it would be embarrassing for [Chet’s] father, Tom Hanks.”
Tom Hanks referred Kiana Parker to a 'healer'
“True to this point, [Kiana] has attempted to make Tom Hanks a witness by claiming that he referred her to a 'healer,'" Chet's lawyer said. However, Parker reportedly refused to identify the alleged healer. Her lawyer said in her motion, “Mr. Hanks’ father provided a spiritual healer to treat Ms. Parker for the emotional distress she suffered while living in Los Angeles, CA with Mr. Hanks. She did not retain any of the records for this healer.” The judge is yet to deliver a ruling on the matter, RadarOnline reported.
