Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic, the film became his first billion-dollar success and effectively revitalized the struggling film industry.

Since then, the industry has witnessed the release of multiple billion-dollar films and an influx of green-lit projects. As the summer season approaches, a remarkable 22-day period will see the arrival of four potential blockbusters. However, Cruise refuses to view it as a competition, using his star power to encourage audiences to watch all of these remarkable films.

It is certainly uncommon for producers or movie stars to promote other films being released alongside their own. Yet, for Cruise, the philosophy is different. He believes that every movie deserves its fair share of attention, and healthy competition ultimately drives growth. Recognizing this, Cruise has taken to elevating three other films in addition to his own. Alongside director Christopher McQuarrie, he tweeted, "This summer is full of amazing movies to see in theaters. Congratulations, Harrison Ford, on 40 years of Indy and one of the most iconic characters in history. I love a double feature, and it doesn't get more explosive (or more pink) than one with Oppenheimer and Barbie."

The upcoming weekend marks the release of the first major potential blockbuster, 'Indiana Jones 5', which will serve as Harrison Ford's farewell to the beloved franchise. The following week, audiences can anticipate Cruise's latest installment of the 'Mission Impossible' series, titled 'Dead Reckoning Part 1', However, what makes this period even more intriguing is the simultaneous release of two other highly anticipated films. On July 20, moviegoers will be treated to the vibrant and imaginative 'Barbie' directed by Gretta Gerwig, as well as Christopher Nolan's thought-provoking 'Oppenheimer'.
