The end of 'Mission: Impossible'?
The Italian capital holds significance as a filming location for the final two installments of the ‘Mission Impossible' series, which were shot consecutively. Other notable cast members, including Greg Tarzan Davis and Pom Klementieff, also attended the premiere, adding to the excitement surrounding the film.
The production of ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ faced multiple interruptions due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. The movie was shot back-to-back with its sequel, ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two’. Reports said that the two films would mark the conclusion of the 'Mission: Impossible' series.
‘Platonic love’
Amid the excitement surrounding the movie, speculation was rife about a romance blossoming between co-stars Cruise and Atwell. However, Atwell addressed these rumors in an interview with Country & Town House, where she discussed her bond with Cruise. She said, “I felt like if I ever was worried about it, I could talk to him [Tom] And I know that he would've said, 'People say whatever they want to say, but you know who you are, I know who I am and I want you to feel safe in this environment.'"
Atwell continued, "What I feel is the truly extraordinary power of platonic love, which seems to be sometimes under-represented. And my love for Tom, my love for McQuarrie, my love for the process of this [Mission], and also the people who they keep very close to them and who are very present on set, has a wholesomeness to it. That for me, I just found so beautiful, so, yeah, I can freely say, 'I love this group of people.'"
Atwell announced she was engaged to actor Ned Wolfgang Kelly in April, after reportedly beginning a relationship in July 2022.
