Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have reportedly been involved in a string of heated confrontations. These disagreements apparently focus on Brady's surprise decision to suspend his retirement during the 2022 NFL off-season.
Brady, the 45-year-old quarterback, had declared his retirement on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, but now that circumstances have changed, Bündchen is dissatisfied. The Brazillian fashion model, 42, has left their family property in Tampa, Florida and traveled to Costa Rica in order to get some distance from the all-consuming arguments taking over their household. "Tom and Gisele are fighting right now," a source told Page Six, adding that this has happened in the past with the couple, but they have always reconciled.

Before the news of the intense altercation became public, the legendary NFL player for the Buccaneers missed 11 training days in August. Brady had responded when asked about his disappearance: "It's all personal. Everyone’s got different situations they're dealing with. We all have really unique challenges to our life. I'm 45 years old, man. There's a lot of s*** going on."

"There's been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids," a source said. "They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind. They have a fiery relationship. Gisele is a bit hot-headed — she has that Brazilian heat!"
Bündchen had told British Vogue in May, "I don't think relationships just happen; it's never the fairy tale people want to believe it is. It takes work to be really in sync with someone, especially after you have kids," before adding, "his focus is on his career, mine is mostly on the kids."
Bündchen has returned to work and is presently featured in a new Burberry commercial. "It's almost as if Gisele said, 'Well, if you're going to keep playing, so will I,'" a second source explained. "She's resentful that Tom is still the football superstar."
Brady addressed reports that he appeared gloomy during training camp on Howard Stern's SiriusXM broadcast in 2020. He said, "A couple of years ago, [Bündchen] didn't feel like I was doing my part for the family. She felt like I would play football all season and she would take care of the house. She wasn't satisfied with our marriage. So I needed to make a change in that. Her point was, 'Well, yeah, of course this works for you. It all works for you. But it doesn't work for me.'" Brady had recently confessed that he needs to be "better" at managing his NFL profession and spending time with his family.
"[During] the off-season, my family's got a lot of time. I've enjoyed that. I can still do a better job of that. It's just constantly trying to be a little bit better each day," he said. When asked about his six-week "retirement" earlier this year, he stated that every action "comes at a cost." Brady and Bündchen met through mutual friends and have been together ever since. The pair married in 2009 and has two children, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 9. Brady has a 15-year-old son from a prior relationship with Bridget Moynahan.
