Tom Brady insists he never dated Ivanka despite Trump's desire to set them up: 'I have no regrets'
Tom Brady has insisted that he has never dated first daughter Ivanka Trump even though her father POTUS Donald Trump wanted them to be a power couple.
While doing an awkward interview on The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday, April 8, the former New England Patriots quarterback was asked if had ever dated Ivanka at Donald Trump's insistence. "Trump always dreamed of you marrying Ivanka, and he told me he suggested it to you — but did you ever go out with her?" Stern asked.
Brady, 42, responded with an uncomfortable laugh and revealed, "That was a long time ago in my life... No, there was never that, where we ever dated or anything like that,' he said, bringing up his seven-year-old daughter, Vivian."
"I have a daughter, so I would want my daughter to... would I ever arrange my daughter," he added before Stern interrupted and said, "I know it’s weird, but Trump wanted that. He wanted Tom Brady to, let's face it, bang Ivanka and form a relationship, a power dynasty. You know that you know I’m not making that up."
Brady laughed a bit uncomfortably again and said that Trump had never approached him regarding dating his daughter. "He never suggested that to me," he added. Back in 2004, Trump himself had said to Stern that he had tried to set Brady and Ivanka up. "I think Tom’s a great guy, and I think he and Ivanka would make a great combination," Brady had said at the time.
Brady was clearly having none of it and told Stern, "Look it all worked out for me anyway, I married the woman of my dreams," referring to his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
"I think I married the most amazing woman, so I have no regrets," he added. Even though he had made it clear to Stern that he was perfectly content with his life, Stern could not resist pointing out that he and Ivanka would have made a good fit.
"I could see you rather than Jared Kushner with Ivanka, honestly. I really could," Stern shared. Brady and Bundchen got married in 2009 which is the same year that Ivanka married her husband and fellow White House senior adviser Jared Kushner.
Brady and Bundchen share two children together- son Benjamin and daughter Vivian. He also has a son Jack with his former Bridget Moynahan. Ivanka and Jared have three children together- Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore.
Stern had shared some similar sentiments on his show on Tuesday and said that he does not think that Kushner is fit to be a pandemic expert of Ivanka's partner. "This f*****g Jared Kushner running things, it’s making me mental," he said.
"[The coronavirus pandemic] is too serious a thing to be wasting time with this kid," he added. He made it very clear that he has no confidence in Kushner who is currently working along with the White House's coronavirus task force.
"How’s he f*****g Ivanka? She is a primo. Tom Brady looks like a guy who could handle Ivanka in bed. Jared Kushner, honest to God, how’s he handling that woman?" he shared.
Over the years, there has been a lot of speculation about Brady and Ivanka.
