PENSACOLA, FLORIDA: The holiday season is not going to be merry for TV star Todd Chrisley. He’s unhappy that he can’t be with his family, Todd’s lawyer Jay Surgent told TMZ.

He said Todd was “very upset” about his situation as he faced his first holidays behind bars with other inmates instead of loved ones.

But it won’t be the same as their usual holiday routine. Todd and Julie are both in prison after they were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion last year.

Savannah wants her parents home for the holidays but they still have a long way to go. Even though they have managed to reduce their 12 and seven-year sentences – Todd got years years off, and Julie got one off, the publication noted.

Todd Chrisley will get a special Thanksgiving meal at FPC Pensacola

The publication reported that Todd will get a special Thanksgiving meal at FPC Pensacola in Florida, but it’s nothing like the home cooking he’s used to. Todd's attorney told the publication, "It sounds like reality is starting to sink in."

Surgent said they, however, are still looking for ways to get Todd home early. Todd has a new court date in March where his legal team will try to overturn his conviction, as said by his attorney.

Todd Chrisley made leader among prisoners

Meanwhile, Todd seems to be "making the best of his time in prison," the publication reported. It said, "he’s been a leader among prisoners, giving them advice and direction."

Todd Chrisley believes he's on a "mission from God." Savannah Chrisley,  who has been vocal about her parents'  imprisonment, said on 20 November, "I got a call this morning and the appeals court has granted our oral arguments. So, I literally was sobbing."
