LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Snoop Dogg has decided to give up smoking! Yes, you read that right.

The ‘Dogglyand’ rapper posted on his social media page about his decision to quit marijuana for good.

"I’m giving up smoke," the 52-year-old posted on X. “After much consideration with my family, I've decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time.”

What's Snoop Dogg's real name?

DailyMail reported that there are claims suggesting that Snoop Dogg, originally known as Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, has 75-150 joints prepared for him daily. However, Snoop Dogg has since denied these allegations

Renegade Piranha, the person who claims to be Snoop's "personal blunt roller" (PBR) said in 2022, “On average, I do about half a pound a day, which seems excessive. So that's roughly like 75 to 150 units per day. I calculate it at over 450,000 blunts.”

When asked Snoop about the same, the ‘Gin and Juice’ crooner dismissed it and instead admitted that he had brought down his intake of marijuana earlier this year.

“Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways," said the 52-year-old.

“The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move, the kind of people I’m associated with because I want to see my grandkids grow old.”

Things changed for Snoop after becoming a grandfather

He further explained, “The only way I can do that is to take precautionary steps as far as how I move, who I hang out with, where I go out, my intake, what am I intaking? Am I doing extracurriculars or am I just doing what I’m supposed to be doing?”

Snoop is a proud father of four children, Corde, 28, Cordell, 26, and Cori, 23, from his 25-year marriage to Shante Broadus, and son Julian, 25 from his ex-Laurie Holmond.

Fans responded to Snoop's recent decision, with one expressing skepticism, saying, “This is probably just gonna be some viral campaign where he launches his own line of vapes or edibles or something."

The second said, "Today isn’t April Fool's Day Snoop."

"I know you're high posting this," commented another fan.

A user commended Snoop's decision, stating, "As somebody who has watched literal millions of people die from marijuana overdoses, this is a very brave act by you, Mr Dogg. The pro-marijuana establishment will criticize you but you must not relent!!"

"Snoop without smoke is like earth without water," commented another.
