QUINCY, ILLINOIS: Timothy Bliefnick, a former 'Family Feud' contestant who has been charged with the murder of his wife Rebecca Bliefnick allegedly joked on the show three years ago, that the worst mistake he made at their wedding was saying “I do”. The mother of three was discovered dead in her home with gunshot wounds at the 2500 block of Kentucky Road in Quincy by a family member on February 23, after she failed to pick her sons up from their school.
Timothy Bliefnick, 39, was arrested for the brutal home invasion and murder of his wife Rebecca Bliefnick, 41 on Monday, March 13. Although, at the time of his appearance on the game show, an unrecognizable crew-cut Timothy sported a sly grin as he delivered his answer to host Steve Harvey’s question, "What’s the biggest mistake you made at your wedding?" “Honey, I love you, but said ‘I do,'” the 39-year-old quickly snapped in his response.

Listening to his answer, the audience and rival team gasped in shock during the show, which had been taped in the fall of 2019 and aired in the spring of 2020, according to ABC, reported New York Post. While Timothy's family laughed at his answer, host Steve grimly stared at the player. “Not my mistake! Not my mistake! I love my wife,” back peddled Timothy, adding “I’m going to get in trouble for that aren’t I?” “Yes, it’s going to be a lot of hell to pay at your house,” Harvey quipped. However, it seems Timothy who answered the question in jest, held some considerable truth to it.
Timothy appeared in court in Adams County on Tuesday but did not plea. He was denied bond and will be held in custody until his next trial. The callous murder of an Illinois nurse and mother of three was deemed an "act of domestic violence" by prosecutors. They allege the 39-year-old broke into Rebecca’s Kentucky Road home on February 23 and shot her to death.
Timothy and Rebecca were married in 2009 but had been separated for several years. The pair were going through divorce proceedings at the time of the murder. The 41-year-old had filed for a restraining order against Timothy and his father. According to his lawyer, Timothy does not have a previous arrest record and the couple's three sons were never removed from their home because of domestic violence.
