Neda Meshabim: Ex-wife of Texas stalker who killed podcaster Zohreh Sadeghi says he was crushed after their friendship ended
REDMOND, WASHINGTON: The ex-wife of a Texas stalker, who fatally shot a podcast host and her husband before pulling the trigger on himself, said he was disheartened when the host reportedly ended their friendship. Neda Meshabim said her ex Ramin Khodakaramrezaei became a fan of the creator Zohreh Sadeghi through the social media app ClubHouse and eventually grew infatuated with her.
Sadeghi, 33, and Khodakaramrezaei, 38, became friends and allegedly exchanged phone calls and met more than once in person, Meshabim said. However, Meshabim, who was married to Khodakaramrezaei for seven years and had a daughter with him, said she never imagined her ex-husband would be capable of killing the podcaster and her husband Mohammad Milad Naseri.

Why did Zohreh Sadeghi end her friendship with Ramin Khodakaramrezaei?
Meshabim and Khodakaramrezaei filed for divorce five years ago. Despite being separated, Khodakaramrezaei, who had his own trucking company, would often share details about his love life with his ex since the two were from Iran and didn't have relatives in the US, Meshabim explained. The podcaster, who was married, reportedly ended her friendship with Khodakaramrezaei after she realized he was crushing on her, the ex-wife said.
Khodakaramrezaei then drove to Sadeghi’s upscale $1.6 million home in the Seattle suburbs on Friday, March 10, and allegedly broke in by climbing the window. It is believed that Sadeghi and Khodakaramrezaei got into an argument when he took out a gun and shot her. Sadeghi's husband heard gunshots and came to the room, where the 38-year-old also fatally shot him before turning the gun on himself. Sadeghi's mother, who was also in the house, managed to escape to a neighbor’s house and called the police, according to a report by KOMO.
'Khodakaramrezaei has bursts of anger!'
Furthermore, the podcaster had also filed for an order of protection on March 3, from Khodakaramrezaei, after she asked the truck company owner to leave her alone on November 6, 2022. Despite her warning him, in December, Khodakaramrezaei showed up at the podcaster’s home in Redmond to deliver flowers after her husband had left the house.
During the filing, Sadeghi claimed the crazed fan had reportedly called her more than 10 times a day and left over 20 messages for her husband which she described as “vulgar, angry, and threatening.”
Khodakaramrezaei “has bursts of anger” and his “delusions make me fear for my life and the lives of my loved ones,” Sadeghi wrote in her petition for the protection order. However, authorities were unable to serve Khodakaramrezaei with the order after they hadn't been able to reach him.
