Addison Rae's TikTok account with 55M followers hacked and deleted: Who did it and can it be restored again?
Addison Rae is one of the most popular TikTokers with over 55 million followers, who regularly watch this young influencer's catchy dancy moves and shenanigans on the micro-blogging platform. Her fans as usual clicked on her profile on Friday, August 14, evening to catch up on what their favorite influencer was up to. Instead of seeing her usually cheerful face, fans were greeted with a totally bizarre account.
Fans quickly figured that Addison's TikTok account was hacked when they noticed some rather strange activities from her account. For instance, her account name was changed to "joeandzak1". According to a Heavy report, a screenshot obtained by the TikTokRoom revealed that Addison's account had been deleted after it was banned for violating multiple community guidelines. The screenshot showed the message, "This account was banned due to multiple Community Guidelines violations” when one clicked on Addison's account. Her profile initially continued showing that the TikTok star's account had 55.6 million followers and 3.3 billion views. The later screenshots of Addison's TikTok profile reportedly did not display the information about her followers and views.
Later, Addison herself took to her Twitter to confirm that her TikTok account had been hacked. She tweeted, "My ticktock is hacked :(,”. An hour later, the young influencer posted, "Why am i crying.” When fans saw Addison's tweet about her account being hacked and deleted, they began expressing their concerns and wondering who the hacker was. A user tweeted, "I strongly dislike Addison Rae but for some reason I feel super bad that her tik tok acc got hacked and deleted oops."
