Tiger King's Carol Baskin gets pranked into fake Jimmy Fallon interview, leaves internet in splits
Carol Baskin perhaps became the Tiger Queen of Netflix’s hit series ‘Tiger King’ with her love for the big cats and of course, the hearsay story about her murdering her husband and feeding him to the tigers.
Baskin hasn’t been a part of many interviews since the show aired. However, unfortunately for her, she was tricked into appearing on a fake late-night show by two British pranksters — Josh Pieters and Archie Manners.
After several attempts, the YouTubers manage to get in touch with Baskin, posing as managers of Jimmy Fallon's late-night talk show and convinced her into an interview with them over a Zoom call.
They collected sound bites from old clips of Fallon's show and edited it in such a manner that Baskin believed that it was the host himself interviewing her. During the interview, in which the pranksters keep their faces from being revealed, are surprised to see a few pictures from Baskin which have never been shown to the public.
In the 12-minute-long video, the YouTubers made Baskin name some of her tigers for the purpose of soundcheck and asked many more questions, which were all related to her big cats. The pranksters, however, chose to stay away from the controversial and infamous side of her personal life.
However, people who watched the video shared a few hilarious comments on Twitter about Baskin’s never-end pretense. Some even went on to say that they now believe that she is the one who got her former husband killed.
One user wrote, "Carole Baskin was smart enough to murder her husband but dumb enough into thinking she was talking to Jimmy Fallon LMAO."
"These trolls convinced carole baskin to finally do an interview by telling her it was for jimmy fallon hahahahaha hahaha," said one. "Ok..I just saw the hoax interview of #CaroleBaskin . That was painful. lol," said another.
"Those two you tube hackers literally got an interview but sadly were imposters posing as @jimmyfallon producers," posted another.
"The video of those British guys tricking Carole Baskin into thinking she’s on Jimmy Fallon is so ingenious," added another. And some fans who loved watching her being interviewed by the pranksters have requested Fallon to bring Baskin on his late-night show.
“I hope @jimmyfallon makes things right and has Carole Baskin on for an interview. She was so excited to talk to Jimmy Fallon and get her story out there but ended up getting conned by some YouTubers. Please Jimmy, interview Carole on your show," asked one Baskin fan.
