Tiffany Haddish fans rush to her defense as she hires Prince Andrew's lawyer after being accused of grooming minors
Tiffany Haddish recently found herself embroiled in a controversy after it was revealed that she allegedly molested and groomed two children in the past. As per a lawsuit filed against her, the stand-up comedian along with Aries Spears compelled a duo of sister and brother to shoot explicit skits.
The suit filed on Tuesday, August 30, in Los Angeles stated, "The Plaintiffs were both minors and were incapable of consenting to participate in sexually graphic videos distributed and published via 'Funny or Die's' platform. There was no parent or guardian present.” However, Haddish’s lawyer Andrew Brettler, who is also defending Prince Andrew, has dismissed the slew of accusations that includes intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, sexual harassment and sexual abuse of a minor, calling them “bogus claims.”

In statement, the entertainment litigator said as reported by PEOPLE, "Plaintiff's mother, Trizah Morris, has been trying to assert these bogus claims against Ms. Haddish for several years. Every attorney who has initially taken on her case — and there were several — ultimately dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims were meritless and Ms. Haddish would not be shaken down.”
"Now, Ms. Morris has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit. The two of them will together face the consequences of pursuing this frivolous action,” Brettler added. Spears' lawyer also noted that his client “isn't going to fall for any shakedown.”
'Funny or Die' also issued a statement in its defense that read, “Funny Or Die found this video absolutely disgusting and would never produce such content. We were not involved with the conceptualization, development, funding, or production of this video. It was uploaded to the site as user-generated content and was removed in 2018 immediately after becoming aware of its existence.”
Meanwhile, as soon as the news of the allegations and Haddish hiring Prince Andrew’s attorney came out, people jumped on social media to call her out. A user tweeted, "She’s trash and she proved that back in 2020 when she doxxed a Black female doctor on Twitter who called her out on misinformation regarding Covid. The amount of harassment the woman received drove her to attempt suicide. Something has always seemed off about her to me."
Another one wrote, “I’m so disappointed in her.” “I never liked Tiffany Haddish. She always comes across as obnoxious and a phony. I've now downgraded my opinion of her, and that's saying a lot,” the third one stated.

However, the 42-year-old actress’s fans did not hold back for long as they soon began to defend and support her. One of them tweeted, “Amber Heard hired Roberta Kaplan who represented Harvey Weinstein and Andrew Cuomo… not gonna talk about that?” The second one shared, “I'll wait till it's been proven. A lot of times we tear people down for some hearsay drama. If they did it they deserve what they get. If not, lets move on.”

The third fan said, “Damn Tiffany Haddish should sue them for bashing her name like that smh. This article says clearly the mother to the kids had previously been dropped by several other lawyers for fraudulent allegations. She was even willing to settle for 15k 🤦🏾♀️.” “People will believe anything just because they don't like someone and can't cancel them,” a tweet read.
