‘This Is Us’ is known for giving some of the best storylines in recent history and the latest episode was a perfect example of it. After getting a good look at Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Randall’s (Sterling K. Brown) lives, it was time for the fans to focus on the lives of Beth and Kevin. Their lives have been hard, but they have come out stronger and done what they want to do with their lives.

In the latest episode, we saw backstories from both the characters and fans got to know much more about them. So, we start with Beth (Susan Kalechi Watson) getting a job offer from a dance studio and they want her to make a ballet squad for the studio and put on a show for the people. If the show went out well, some of the students will get a scholarship opportunity with a big dance institute. However, one of the girls has been facing a lot of issues with her skills. The girl, Stacey, opens up to her and says that she was the best at her previous studio, but here, she feels like she doesn’t belong here. Beth looks at her and says that one of her teachers also used to say these things about her but she took it as a challenge and did better.

Is 'This Is Us' Season 6 going on break again? Here's when Episode 7 will air

Meanwhile, Kevin (Justin Hartley) is behaving strangely around Sophie and while talking to Kate, he finally confesses that he cheated on Sophie with some other girl. Kate is disgusted by that and says how he could even think of doing that. His entire life crumbles when he tells about the other girl to Sophie. She leaves the house and even breaks her friendship with Kate.

In the present scenario, Kevin is trying to be supportive of Sophie’s new relationship and calls the duo to one of the tapings. A few minutes before the taping, Sophie tells Kevin that she doesn’t want to spend Thanksgiving at the cabin and wants to celebrate the occasion with Elijah and the twins. Kevin gets really frustrated at that and doesn’t take that well. He leaves and just sits in his green room. Kate comes to him and tells him that his reaction was unnecessary because Sophie has finally found love and wants to make her own holiday traditions. Kevin understands what Kate is saying and goes back to Sophie’s to tell her that she must celebrate holidays like she wants to.

A few seconds later, Elijah comes out to talk to him and tell him that if he is thinking of coming back in her life, then he would have to wait for a very long time. Kevin smiles and says, “Point taken.”

Meanwhile, Beth’s student was giving an amazing performance, but she falls on the stage and when they thought that nothing will happen now, Beth comes on the stage and helps her. She tells her how she fell during one of her performances but she didn’t back down and got up to perform once again. The pep-talk gave the dancer confidence to carry forward. That’s when Randall said to her daughters, “Don’t you ever forget how incredible that woman is.”

Beth also slammed her dance teacher Vincent for doing injustice to her talent and that’s when we got to know that she was her father’s little island girl who “danced before she could walk.”

The episode ended with Beth getting a letter from that student which said “I can and I did”. Her student was now the leading lady of ‘The Nutcracker’.

'This Is Us' Season 6 will return to NBC with a new episode on Tuesday, March 8.
