'They're milking this thing': NFL fans enraged as Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift take over NBC 'Sunday Night Football' promo
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a recent NBC commercial, Taylor Swift's upbeat song 'Welcome to New York' was featured as the energetic soundtrack promoting the NFL.
The promo was meant to promote the Kansas City Chiefs' upcoming game against the New York Jets and had clips with a spotlight on tight end Travis Kelce, who has been linked to Swift as a possible love interest.
The official Sunday Night Football account posted the commercial with the caption, "Taylor Made for Sunday Night."

Sports commentator weighs in on the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce situation
Sports commentator Phil Giubileo took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "The #kelceswift effect goes beyond this song (good song regardless as it fits the location nicely). Now it's Travis Kelce's team."
He added, "Kelce is now the 1st & last thing you see on the promo. In any other universe it's Patrick Maholmes. Taylor Swift owns the entire NFL now."
While most of the clip did focus on Kelce, it did have a few glimpses of the Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Football fans accuse NFL of 'milking' the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce situation
After the promo was posted by the official Sunday Night Football on NFL account, some football fans felt that too much attention was being paid to the rumored couple.
One wrote, "Damn you Kelce. Now, look what you did, bro," with an angry-face emoji, while another said, "They r really milking this kelce swift thing lol."
"Absolutely pathetic," stated a football fan, as one more complained, "No offense, but nothing has made me less excited for a gameβ¦."
Someone else quipped, "The Jets should be flexed out of Sunday Night Football but NBC probably cares more about the attention from Taylor Swift than the game itself. Another Jet beating and this time everyone gets to watch. The pain never ends."
"Please no more of her," pleaded a football fan.

FOX was denied request to use a Taylor Swift song
The use of Taylor Swift's song in the NBC commercial makes sense, but it's surprising since Fox Sports revealed their request to use Swift's music in the Sunday, September 24, Chiefs vs Bears game broadcast was denied.
According to 'NFL on Fox's lead producer Richie Zyons, the FOX team had apparently requested permission to use Swift's catalog due to the swirling rumors. However, her record label and publishing company denied the request, citing concerns about speculations regarding her private, personal, or dating life.
In other updates, rumors suggest that the 'Anti-Hero' singer is planning to attend the Chiefs vs Jets game on Sunday, October 1.
If this holds true, coverage of the game will likely mirror the previous one, which caused a stir online when clips of Swift socializing with Kelce's mother and exiting the stadium with him were circulated.
