Who is Sheriam?

Sheriam Bayanar is among the strong characters in the book series. She found out about her ability to channel at the age of 16. For five years, Sheriam trained as a novice before she was chosen for the Accepted test. Once she became one of the most powerful beings, it gave her a considerable amount of political influence that led to her becoming the Mistress of Novices. She had a strong bond with Siuan Sanche and Moiraine Damodred when she was Accepted and she continued to be their friend even after becoming a full Aes Sedai. Much like her friends-turned-mentors, she chose the Blue Ajah. Sheriam is a force to be reckoned with. Her notable accomplishments include being one of the original leaders of the Salidar Aes Sedai, the rebel group during the White Tower Schism, and being chosen to be Egwene's Keeper of the Chronicles, one of the most powerful positions among the sisters of the Aes Sedai.

The impact of Sheriam Bayanar in the series

Sheriam Bayanar was introduced in the second book of 'The Wheel of Time', titled, 'The Great Hunt'. Season 1 followed the storyline of the first book of the 'Wheel of Time'. It is safe to assume Season 2 will follow the second book.

In the Season 1 finale, Moiraine had an intense battle and she was cut from her One Power and faced the eye. She said that confronting the eye was not the end of the battle and there were more to come from the shadows. This could mean more reinforcements which would lead to the introduction of Sheriam into the main plot of the story.
