The highly anticipated fantasy series ‘The Wheel of Time’ has finally arrived on Amazon Prime Video and it has already brought a lot of curiosity to the minds of people. The first episode of the series saw Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) engaged in an epic fight sequence and took out the whole army of Trollocs.

Moiraine and four young individuals have started a journey to reach the White Tower. One of these young individuals is the Dragon Reborn and will save the world from darkness. However, the battle sequence injured Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) as one of the Trollocs was able to hit her with his weapon. Although nothing much happened to her at that time, it seems the wounds are getting deeper and deeper.

The second episode starts with Moiraine and others continuing their journey through the woods. However, the army of Trollocs is behind them and wants to kill them. They reach a place and take the ferry to cross the river. Trollocs don’t go in deep waters as they don’t know how to swim. The group gets away from the trollocs and makes their way to the other part of the woods. The next morning, all four individuals - Rand (Josha Stradowski), Perrin (Marcus Rutherford), Mat (Barney Harris), and Egwene (Madeleine Madden) – see a dream with dead bats and a dark entity with red eyes looking at them.

Moiraine believes that the dream means something as they start their journey once again. They meet the White Cloaks in the woods who ask them for their identity. Moiraine tells everyone to not tell them she is an Aes Sedai. She sends the White Cloaks to the west to fight the Trollocs. They carry on with their journey and take a rest.

However, the Dark One and Trollocs army have found them and try to kill them. But Moiraine’s injury is not allowing her to get up from sleep. Her partner picks her up and makes her sit on the horse with one of the individuals as they try to save themselves from Trollocs. A few moments later, they enter an abandoned city that has a dangerous history. It is believed that the evil within the people of this city got so big that they killed themselves and now the place is cursed.

They take refuge there, but everything changes at night when one of the individuals touches one of the things in the castle. Dark entities tried taking over them but they managed to run away. However, Moiraine is still unable to get up and that makes everyone worried. In the end, she did get up and see where they were and said, “You’ve killed us all.”

The episode ends with Moiraine once again closing her eyes and as her wound gets even worse. On the other hand, we get to see that Nyaeve, who was taken away by a Trolloc is alive and is threatening Moiraine to take her to the four individuals.

‘The Wheel of Time’ returns to Amazon Prime Video with a new episode every Friday.
