Spoilers for 'The Walking Dead: World Beyond' Episode 3 'The Tyger and the Lamb'

In Episodes 1 and 2, almost each of the teens had their reasons to get out of the community. For sisters, Iris (Aliyah Royale) and Hope (Alexa Mansour), the intention was very clear: find their father. Joining them were Silas (Hal Cumpston) and Elton (Nicolas Cantu), the latter wanting to learn more about the actual world they were living in while the burly, but always subdued-looking Silas just wanted out.

While the reason for him to move away from the relative safety of the community is better explained in Episode 3, it most importantly highlights the bond the teens have started to develop over the course of the episodes. Now, it's more than just staying clear from ridicule in the community for Silas, following his violent past. It is more than just studying the hostile environment for nerdy Elton and as for Hope and Iris, their relationship which was always in the "good" category, vaulted one notch higher.

One of the instances that demonstrates the teens' closeness is the separate conversations between Silas and Iris while Hope and Elton share a brief moment as well. It's almost subtle, the way 'World Beyond' portrays this. Silas is shown to have read Iris' 'The Tyger and the Lamb' poem, an insightful yet heartening account of how she compares a beast and a non-violent animal and connects on a better note, not to mention Iris being his system of support each time he needed it.

Whether this may have a romantic angle is debatable, but for now, they're good friends and would die for each other if it comes to that. The same goes for Hope and Elton. With the former indirectly part of the whizkid's mother's death, there's a soft corner Hope has towards the mellow but brainy Elton. When the teens escape the Blaze of gory, Elton makes a scramble for his luggage even as the group, now joined by Huck (Annet Mahendru) and Felix (Nico Tortorella) attempt to escape the horde of empties.

While Elton feels it was a stupid move, it was due to save the research his mother was working on, which he hopes to complete. But Hope calls it "badass" as he never pegged Elton to be the action kid. That said, when Huck and Felix propose going back to the community, they stay strong in their view to stay together and complete the mission. This is probably the start of the teens bonding better and while we can expect friction at some stage in the series, for now they're a team.

'The Walking Dead: World Beyond' airs on Sundays at 10 pm ET on AMC.
