'The Walking Dead' Season 10: Negan could be one of the final survivors despite his dark past
If there's one character on 'The Walking Dead' who's become an absolute icon of the show, it has to be Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), former leader of the Saviors and eternal anti-hero. Pretty much every other original main character from the comics has either been killed off or relocated to spinoff properties but that's not the only reason why we think Negan might end up being the only one to make it all the way to the end.
Back when he was first introduced, Negan was a brutal savage with not a shred of humanity in him. Some might say he's still that villainous monster but he has done quite a lot to prove that he isn't that person anymore.
More than any other character, Negan has gone through quite a transformation. Sure, he might not be a folk hero like Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) or Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) but he has built himself a legendary reputation for actions both vile and heroic.
In the comics, Negan is one of the few characters who gets to survive to the very end. The final issue of the comic book series reveals that Negan has become an old outcast, never interacting with any of his fellow survivors.
We never see him in the story but it is implied that this exile might be some sort of penance, a final quest for redemption. We don't know about you but if that's how things are going to end for Negan on the show, we couldn't be happier.

'The Walking Dead' Season 10 Episode 16 — the finale — has been delayed indefinitely because of the coronavirus pandemic but is expected to air sometime in September at the latest.
