However, when Madison Curbelo from Team Dan + Shay graced the stage, viewers expressed dissatisfaction with her song choice. Some questioned whether it was the most suitable option as the competition intensified with only the top 9 remaining.

Madison's voice and demeanor are perfectly suited for this style of music. Once again, she dazzled audiences with her rendition of 'Time After Time.'  The music flows effortlessly from her. That falsetto she nailed at the end! It's like watching a real-life Disney Princess performance.

However, fans on X complained with one writing, "Maddi and Bryan been sounding bad the last 3 eps at least." Hoping to hear something else in her voice, one fan wrote, "I'm hoping next time she sings something upbeat like maybe Gloria Estevan's version of "Turn the Beat Around" or something like that - just to see a different side of her singing and performing."

One fan commented under her performance clip, "Bad song choice." Another fan noted, "Great pick wrong song. You have to. Nail it. And it was to changed. An flat for. Me."

One disappointed fan asked, "What are the judges smoking?? That was horrible an I'm. Not the only one who. Agrees." Another user wrote, "This is boring and very karaoke."

Madison underwent a transformative experience when she auditioned for Season 20. At that time, she was a freshman at Berklee College of Music.

Due to the early stages of the pandemic, Madison's parents were unable to attend her audition. Disappointed by the lack of a chair turn, she left the stage alone. However, she took Blake Shelton's advice to heart, committing herself to gaining more experience. Despite the setback, Madison continued to perform at various events.

With her parents' backing and years of gigging experience under her belt, Madison is feeling more assured today. After graduating from college, she is still committed to her music, developing her sound and releasing it online.
