‘The Voice’ Season 21 is 13 episodes down and has witnessed so much drama that the makers decided to air a recap episode titled ‘The Voice: Road to Live Shows'. The 14th episode aired on Tuesday, November 2, was dedicated to all the twists and turns we saw in the singing reality show so far.

The latest was the 500th episode of ‘The Voice’ that took us on the journey of how the top 20 artists performed in front of coaches namely Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, John Legend, and Blake Shelton in order to earn the coveted spot in the top 13. The viewers got to enjoy the rare four-chair turns again along with the funny banters among the judges. The makers also aired the hilarious behind-the-scenes footage and how the coaches blocked each other and battled it out to bag their favorite contestants. However, the majority of social media users were left disappointed with the recap as they slammed the show on Twitter for not airing a fresh episode.

When will Season 21 live playoffs air?

Episode 13 aired on Monday, November 1, proved to be the last round of the knockouts where we saw contestants Shadale, Jeremy Rosado, Peedy Chavis, Jim & Sasha Allen, and Jershika Maple winning the face-offs. Paris Winningham got lucky as Blake Shelton used his last “steal” to save him from going home.

Speaking of the live playoffs, the episode is expected to air on Monday, November 8. As mentioned earlier, the live playoffs will see the top 13 singers battling each other to advance to the next round. To take the show a notch higher, the makers announced four frontrunners who earlier got evicted. They will get a chance to come back on the show. Samara Brown has been picked up from John Legend, Aaron Hines for Kelly Clarkson, Vaughn Mugol for Ariana Grande, and Hailey Green will be fighting from Team Blake.

‘So much BS(bulls**t) instead of singing!’, says Twitter

Social media users quickly logged into Twitter as they slammed the makers for airing a recap episode. “What has happened to the show?? So much BS(bulls**t) instead of singing ! Go back to the ‘way it was’ !  Get over yourselves and get back to the contestants!”, said one furious user as another posted, “#TheVoice what are ya'll doin?! There's not much time!!? So no singing tonight?”
 
The next one shared, “I’m gonna pass on this episode i think this is just a recap.” One person shared, “I'm such a sucker for recap episodes, despite how useless they are, I'm actually enjoying this too much to tweet.” Meanwhile, another shared, “Todays ep is just a recap of the season so im just watching ari’s parts and turning this off cause idc about anyone else.” One asked, “#TheVoice is this the right episode they’re airing?” as another announced, “Ok imma tune out since today is just a recap but see y’all next week for the lives!!!!” And, one user concluded, “Seated for #TheVoice #TeamAriana - typically this is the lowest rated episode of every season, heard its a "road to the voice" recap thing so we'll see how it goes. At least its only an hour long.”

‘The Voice’ Season 21 airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm PT/ET on NBC.
