It's the Knockouts Week on 'The Voice' Season 21 and the coaches have roped in Ed Sheeran as the mega-mentor! Aside from roping in Ed, the coaches were also tasked with the job of pitting their team members against each other for the last hurdle before getting to the lives. OG coach Blake Shelton managed to put together a pretty impressive team filled with some exceptional singers.

So for the knockouts round, he decided to put two of his best singers against each other- Wendy Moten and his recent steal Jonathan Mouton. Ever since Blake stole Jonathan from Ariana Grande's team during the battles, the eight-times winning coach was itching to test out his vocals. So Jonathan chose Johnny Nash's 'I Can See Clearly Now' for his knockouts round performance. Needless to say, Jonathan left Blake and Ed impressed with his runs and range. Next up was Wendy who picked Aretha Franklin's iconic ' Ain't No Way' and impressed the coaches during the rehearsals.

It was finally time for the duo's final performance and both of them gave an extremely passionate and powerful performance. However, Wendy's performance captured the coaches' attention as by the end of her performance all the coaches gave her a standing ovation. The coaches appreciated both their performances but couldn't stop raving about Wendy's performance. So it came as no surprise when Blake picked her as the winner of the knockouts round and sent Jonathan home.

Although Wendy's performance was incredible, fans are however unhappy with Blake's decision to pick Wendy over Jonathan. Several fans took to Twitter to express how it's unfair to pit a professional singer like Wendy against an amateur singer like Jonathan. Wendy had a chart-topping hit single back in the ’90s called ‘Come In Out of the Rain’ before she began singing backup and duets with Julio Iglesias, Vince Gill, Michael McDonald, John Oates and others.

A fan tweeted, "Ms. Wendy should not be even able to compete like that’s not even fair. She had a hit single and auntie is famous if we being real. Talking bout shes in a grammy award band #TheVoice." "I feel like Wendy being on this show is not giving the other contestants a fair chance. She is already a professional singer. #thevoice," wrote a fan. Another fan added, "#TheVoice NO win for Wendy since this lady has already won a grammy! How fair is that! Guess the voice dosent care! Sure isn't what they say they are.."

Another fan shared, "Wendy’s cv is bigger than the judges like wow.. is it even fair that she’s on this show rn? not that i’m complaining cause i love listening but i feel bad for the other contestants #thevoice." "#TheVoice I love Wendy’s voice but I just don’t think it’s fair with the amt of experience she has," echoed a fan. " Wendy being on The Voice high key not fair when shes an actual professional singer and going up against people who have never sang in front of an audience. Obviously shes going to win each time…. #TheVoice," pointed out a fan.
