‘The Voice’ Season 21 aired its final episode of the battles on Tuesday, October 19 as singers landed on the stage with an intention to advance to the knockouts that will only see the Top 13 contestants. Coaches namely Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and John Legend picked the respective winners from their teams to make sure only the best one represents their team.

After The Cunningham Sisters defeated Parker McKay from Team Kelly, it was time for Blake Shelton’s team members Berritt Haynes and Kaitlyn Velez to lock horns on the stage. With a little help from his friend and mentor Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton briefed the two singers before hitting the stage. Social media users, however, got pissed at the fact that their battle got an unfair screen time as compared to other contestants on the singing reality show.

Blake Shelton picks Berritt Haynes, Kaitlyn Velez gets no steals

Blake Shelton, who has won the show a whopping eight times, gave Berritt Haynes and Kaitlyn Velez the task to perform on Coldplay’s classic hit ‘Yellow’. The 19-year-old Berritt Haynes from Alabama got his guitar for the track as Kaitlyn Velez too showed her prowess with her vocals. The battle, however, did not even get a total of two minutes of screen time on-air.

While praising Berritt, Kelly told him that she was just captivated by him as Blake chimed in and added, “This competition is going to push you to the edge, you know, and Berritt, way to step up to the plate, dude.” We, unfortunately, did not get to see what Ariana Grande and John Legend had to say about the two as the battle abruptly showed Blake Shelton announcing Berritt Haynes as the winner. He will now be moving to the knockouts. Kaitlyn Velez, unfortunately, got no steals, from the rest of the judges. Taking to Instagram, Kaitlyn shared multiple pictures of her last performance and captioned it as, “And that’s a wrap on my voice journey! Short but sooo sweet unfortunately our entire performance wasn’t shown but i swear it was so amazing!” She added, “I’m so incredibly grateful for this experience. Top 48 are some of the most special people I’ve ever met and I couldn’t have picked better people to go through this life changing experience with.” The Cunningham Sisters, Ryleigh Plank, and Paris Winningham were other winners of the evening.

‘How dare you montage Berritt AGAIN’

The viewers of ‘The Voice’ took to Twitter where one of them stated, “Berritt Haynes vs. Kaitlyn Velez gets the RUSHED treatment (we had over 20 minutes left in the show, we could've fit that in more thoroughly -- and before we know it, Berritt wins his Battle, Katilyn not stolen and is eliminated)”. On similar lines, another user got pissed with Berritt getting less screen time, “how dare you montage berritt AGAIN.”

The next one asserted, “So proud of them! Takes guts to sing your heart out like that.” Whereas, another praised Berritt, “I love His tone a lot - He really stepped up- Yayyyyy I’m so glad for him!”  One user concluded, “Like the song choice. @coldplay”
