'The Voice' Season 21: Who is Austin Percario? Ex-boy band singer called 'too timid’
‘The Voice’ Season 21 is five rounds down and with only one episode left for the blinds, most of the spots are already filled. Episode 5 of the blind auditions aired on Monday, October 4 and continued with the contestant Austin Percario where he performed Niall Horan’s solo effort ‘This Town’.
The young signer on the reality show revealed that he was in a boy band and as a teenager was signed to a label. He revealed that he was low on confidence as despite dropping a couple of songs and music videos, his career did not really take off as expected. Austin in his montage video asserted that he was looking for a coach that would help him learn how to struggle with confidence. However, none of the coaches namely Blake Shelton, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend turned around as they felt he needed to polish his singing skills.

Austin Percario fails to impress judges
Austin, who was in a boy band earlier, left the squad and opted for a solo career. Interestingly, the singer enjoys a huge fan following on Instagram. He has over 30K followers on the photo-sharing app and he keeps sharing updates on his music career on a regular basis. Speaking of his performance, Austin tried his best to serenade the coaches with his boyish voice but all the four judges decided not to turn around.
His time on the show, therefore, was short-lived as he, unfortunately, had to head back home. While speaking to the 25-year-old crooner, Ariana Grande said that she could notice he was nervous and maybe a different song would have been a game-changer. John, on the other hand, added that he was capable of having a great audition but that would require him to tweak his voice to songs that fit his voice.
‘Austin Percario looks terrified’, claims Twitter
The loyal fans of ‘The Voice’ rushed to Twitter as soon as Austin failed to grab a spot during the blind auditions. “SFD is a defective voice different from Austin's. His voice itself is no different from the original eteled, but his voice is always cut off due to errors. Also, when he screams, the Glitch becomes stronger”, noted one user as another chimed in and added, “Aw u did great austin #TheVoice.”
The next one posted, “Austin, come back. You have a really good voice. Just have to get over the nerves. Dont fret. You really are good. Sing more in front of crouds so you get used to it.” One user tweeted, “Austin Percario looks terrified and his voice is showing it. His tone is good as he got more comfortable but no coaches turned. Too bad.” And, another concluded, “Austin needs to do something showy or they won't turn-too timid.”
