'The Voice' season 17 premiere: Gwen Stefani is aiming for the best singers, even if it means war with boyfriend Blake Shelton

Back for season 17, Stefani looks like she is all out to win this season, even if it means starting war between her and boyfriend Blake Shelton

'The Voice' season 17 premiered on Monday night, and even though former fan-favorite coach Adam Levine's absence was felt, it looks like Gwen Stefani is bringing her A-game this season.

Returning to 'The Voice' after 10 seasons, Stefani replaced Levine. She sure looks like she is all out to win this season, even if it means starting war between her and boyfriend Blake Shelton who is a six-time winning coach. Amid the PDA that fans aren't in favor of, Stefani knows how to convince the contestants to choose her.

Premiering with season 17 on Monday night, we came across a whole bunch of talented singers who performed for the coaches during the blind auditions, hoping at least one of them would turn their chair. Some weren't that lucky, but most contestants received at least two chair turns from the coaches.

With eight contestants advancing to the next round, each coach, Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson has two singers in their team, except Stefani who has three contestants in her team. And it's safe to say all three of them have a high chance of making it all the way. Stefani didn't sit back and relax, she made sure she fought for her the singers she wanted in her team.

Starting from Jake HaldenVang. The 24-year-old singer performed his rendition of 'Wish I Knew You' by the Revivalists. Though Clarkson and Stefani were confused by his falsetto range in the beginning, they were left stunned once he started singing.

Jake had Legend, Shelton, and Stefani turn their chair for him. No matter how hard Legend and Shelton tried to persuade him to join the respective team, he decided to go with Stefani. The next singer Stefani stole was Rose Short. Performing her rendition of Legend's 'Preach', Clarkson was the first to turn her chair for Rose, and Stefani followed suit. Despite Clarkson being from the same place and Short, and her parents cheering for her to pick Clarkson, Short went with Stefani.

The final singer Stefani stole from the other judges was Kyndal Inskeep. The 22-year-old singer performed her version of 'Never Been To Spain'. She had Shelton, Clarkson, and Stefani turn their chairs for her.  This is when Stefani blocked Shelton and kept him from getting her on his team. The only person she had to beat was Clarkson and using her persuading skills, she got Kyndal to join her team as well.

Each of these three singers that Stefani has in her team, are versatile with a range and pitch of their own. It is easy to see that Stefani managed to grab the best of the lot from Monday's episode. And we can't wait to see who she chooses when 'The Voice' returns on Tuesday.

'The Voice' season 17 airs every Monday and Tuesday only on NBC. Check your local listings for more information.
